Note Before Beginning:
You will need admin level access over the gmail app in your google workspace.
1. Open the Transport Rules interface
Navigate to the spam settings page by visiting: https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/gmail/spam
2. Whitelist PhishFirewall's Sending IP Address
- Click "Email allowlist"
- In the "Enter the IP addresses for your email allowlist"
field type: "168.203.37.175, 168.203.37.174, 168.203.36.203" (Click button to the right to copy)
- Click "Save" at the bottom of that section
Those are the 3 Ip addresses that PhishFirewall uses to send educational emails, and Phishing simulations that is why we are adding them to the white list.
3. Configure PhishFirewall Inbound gateway
- Ensure the checkmark is enabled.
- Click Add, and in the pop up enter each IP address listed on the right individually. Add each Individually.
(You can click the corresponding button to the right to copy)
- Enable "Message is considered spam if the following header regexp matches:"
- Type in the text box for Regexp: "zcvzcvedfgdfgdgszgzghjjsdghjjwssdghjjwssd"
- Enable "Message is spam if regexp matches"
- Enable "Disable Gmail spam evaluation on mail from this gateway; only use header value"
- Compare settings to Reference Image, then Click "Save" at the bottom of that section.
The Inbound gateway for PhishFirewall ensures that our phishing simulations, are not scanned by your email filter, and do not have a warning banner displayed.
